Festival of Tree’s

Chances Signal Point will be hosting the 2nd Annual Festival of Tree’s from November 27th – December 17th.

Our Goal

We hope to fill Signal Point with many decorated Christmas trees, created by Charity organizations from the local area. We are pleased to welcome as many people (19 years or older) to see the displays as possible. We need the support of our local Charities to help us achieve this amazing spectacle of Trees.

Signal Point will not be charging for admission to the Festival, but will be asking visitors for donations towards the Food Bank and or the Toy Bank.

Voting shall take place from Nov 27th to Dec 17th. All Guests providing a donation to the Food Bank or the Toy Bank will be provided with a ballot. The ballot will contain numbers that correspond to a tree with the same number. Guest shall mark the number on the ballot corresponding to the tree they like best. Guest shall then deposit ballots into the ballot box. Ballots will be counted during the last week of December and upon completion of the ballot count the top 3 trees with the most votes will be posted to our website and Facebook page. Donation of Found Money shall be split evenly amongst the top 3 voted trees (Charities). Donation cheque shall be provided to the Charities by mid-February 2016 as per policy.

Found Money

At Signal Point we receive all forms of what is considered found money. This could come from a guest donating the remaining value of their IVS tickets, unclaimed credit amounts left in a slot machine or unclaimed found money in or around the facility. All funds collected are allocated to our Found Money account. Signal Point pays out this amount quarterly to a Registered Charity or Charities as per BCLC Policy and Procedure.

Found Money Donation

We are presenting this opportunity to our local charities as Signal Point would like to donate our last quarter found money to the top 3 Trees with the most votes. The found money is collected from October to December and would be paid out to the winning Charities as per BCLC Policy and Procedure. As this is a donation Signal Point requires an Official Donation Receipt for Income Tax purposes that must be supplied to BCLC as per the Canada Revenue Agency.
